How to Add Sockets to Collars in WoW Dragonflight

When it comes to endgame in World of Warcraft, every little bit counts. One way for players to get an extra edge in Raiding or Mythic+ content is to add sockets to their necklace so complementary gems can be socketed. Here’s what you need to give you that little boost.

How to Snap Necklaces in World of Warcraft

Players can add up to three sockets to endgame necklaces through jewelry crafting. There is an item called Tiered Medallion Setting that will add a grip to a late game Dragonflight necklace. A necklace can have up to three sockets, and the quality of the item determines how many sockets it can add. A collar at iLvl 385 will get one hold while iLvl 400 will get two and iLvl 415 will get three.

Crafting the Tiered Medallion Decor requires Awakened Order (1), Glimmering Clasp (1), Polishing Cloth (1), Lesser Illustrious Insight (1), Eternity Amber (20) and silky gem dust (12). It can be learned by jewelers after investing 30 specialization points in settings. Note that when using the tiered medallion setting, there are three grades to consider: grade 1, 2, and 3. If a collar does not have sockets, use grade 1, 2, then 3. If a collar already has a socket, use Quality 2 then 3.
