How to Find Your Screenshot Folder in FFXIV

Screenshots and Gposing (group posing) in Final Fantasy XIV is a very fleshed out system. You can easily take amazing, cinematic screenshots with just a few mouse or gamepad clicks. But then where do the screenshots go? Fear not, because we’ve detailed how to find your screenshots on the Steam and non-Steam versions of the game.

Find your Final Fantasy XIV screenshot folder on Steam

To take a screenshot on the Steam version of the game, you will need to use the F12 key. The print screen key will display a “Screenshot Failed” message in your chat box, and you will not have taken the screenshot.

Once you’ve taken a screenshot, when you close FFXIV, your screenshot will show up on the game’s page in your Steam library. To access the screenshot folder, click on the image to enlarge it, then right-click on the image and select Browse to Screenshot. This will take you to your screenshot folder.

If you want to find this folder without taking a new screenshot, go to File Explorer and navigate to the Steam folder. Select the User Data folder, then 40036624, then 760, then remote, then 39120, and finally Screenshots. It’s obviously a bit of a maze, so sometimes you just need to take a new screenshot and use the method above!

Finding Your FFXIV Screenshot Folder in Non-Steam Builds

In non-steam versions of the game, the print screen key is functional for taking screenshots. This will take and save all the snaps you want to save. Screenshots are then saved to your Documents folder in all versions of Windows. The default path is Documents\My Games\FFXIV\Screenshots. Enjoy your Gposing!
