In Final Fantasy XIV patch 6.2, the ability to repair other players’ gear inside dungeons, trials, and raids was added. This meant there might not be an issue with having to exit a raid after everyone’s gear got too low in durability. But how exactly to do your gear repair request and repair other gear in Final Fantasy XIV.
Where You Can Request Equipment Repairs After FFXIV 6.2
You can request that your gear be repaired by other members of your party or alliance. Players can then offer gear with less than 100% durability to have it repaired, adding 100% to its durability.
Making Repair Requests in Final Fantasy XIV
To request a repair, select the player you wish to send a request to in the party menu and right-click. Then select Request Repair from the subcommand menu. In the window that appears, confirm all the gear you want repaired, set a reward (if desired), then select Submit Request. You can offer a reward for repairing your equipment, up to a maximum of 1,000,000 gil.
The list of items to be offered for repair will only include gear whose durability is less than 100%. If the requested player is unable to meet the requirements to repair a piece of gear, such as low level or lack of dark matter, they will appear grayed out in the list.

To repair someone else’s equipment, simply accept the request. This will consume Dark Matter appropriate to the level of the equipment being repaired.
