Red Dead Redemption 3 release date and rumours: RDR3

Red Dead Redemption 2, the third entry in the Red Dead series, was released eight years after the first Red Dead Redemption game and five years after GTA 5. Rockstar has confirmed the existence of GTA 6 through leaks, but no release date potential has been announced. Given this, it’s widely believed that Red Dead Redemption 3 could be the next game the critically acclaimed company will be working on. Based on Rockstar’s model of releasing a Red Dead or GTA game every five years or so, Red Dead Redemption 3 is unlikely to be released for at least another seven to eight years if GTA 6 is expected to release in 2023 or 2024.

Everything we know about Red Dead Redemption 3

Unfortunately, we know next to nothing about the fourth installment in the Red Dead Redemption series. In fact, we don’t even know if beloved characters from previous games will make an appearance or if the plot will focus on an entirely new set of characters.

When is Red Dead Redemption 3 release date?

Red Dead Redemption 3’s release date is so far away that it wouldn’t even be wise to think of a possible release date. Realistically, Rockstar Games has a reputation for waiting nearly half a decade between game releases. Given this, along with the workplace crunch discussions that occurred during the development of Red Dead Redemption 2, it’s possible we may have to wait until 2030 for this title to release.

What platforms will Red Dead Redemption 3 be installed on?

While there’s no way to know what platforms a game will be on so long before release, it’s safe to say it will release on all current consoles and PCs. Currently, the most modern home consoles are the Xbox One Series X|S and PlayStation 5, but it’s unknown if a new version of these will be available once Red Dead Redemption 3 is released.
